For over 10 years EF Engineering have helped clients worldwide deliver successful events that turn heads, by elevating their display pieces. By combining technical expertise with creative presentation like, bespoke mounting, cut-aways to internals, replicas, lighting and movement, we creatively showcase your technical innovations.

Combining outstanding displays with our smart asset management and partnership with Exhibition Freighting for global shipping, we provide a complete end-to-end service. You can focus on your customers, while we make sure your product looks its absolute best.

Working with a design partner, we created an engaging display of alternators showing the product range and internal workings.

  • A detailed cutaway to reveal internal components
  • Strategic lighting to highlight key parts
  • Unique mounts at varying heights for instant range recognition

The end product was a visually striking display that drew high engagement and delivered excellent ROI for this trade show.

For this imaginative piece we once again worked with a design house, this time to show case an engine. In this case we created a bespoke piece that fit the practical farming market by showing the engine in a tractor wire frame, the preferred vehicle for this engine. One side revealed the complete tractor outline; the other displayed the fully show-prepared engine. This flexible storytelling tool made technical details easy to understand and remember.

We were challenged to create a piece which as durable, reusable and education, we engineered an exploded clutch model showing every internal component in detail.

  • Showcase all the internal working elements
  • Informative piece demonstrating the functionality
  • Built for repeated use at events and in training
  • Ensured technical accuracy for effective learning
  • Reduced marketing costs and improved sustainability by eliminating the need for new builds for each event

Moving from a small, easy to transport piece to a large show-stopping piece now. This informative, impactfully product display showcases the integration of components within a power system. The large size ensured it stood out on the show floor, creating strong footfall, while the internal lighting drew visitors in for a closer look.

Ricardo: 3D Printed Engine Model

Product Launch (various)

For Ricardo’s product launch we created a 3D printed version of their latest engine, with a real metal paint finish. The 3D printed model incorporated cutaway sections to demonstrate alternative fuel integration and internal mechanics. The results was a display of technical innovation so realistic it was hard to believe it was 3D printed.

The final display comes from our sister company, Revelare. Revelare are respected applicators of traditional, specialist and liquid metal finishes. For the Surface Design Show 2023 we partnered with a stand builder to create a giant cube showcasing a variety of specialist finishes as a standout centre piece. Designed for people to stop and walk all the way around, it drew high footfall and sparked curiosity. The main question being ‘will it fall over?’.

  • Ingeniously engineered for stability with an internal pole structure
  • Shipped securely by the excellent team at Exhibition Freighting
  • Now on display in Revelare’s Peterborough showroom

Now for some honourable mentions. We have worked on so much over the years and we have tried to highlight a range of different type of displays here but here are some we couldn’t miss.

Parts Kit – An engine parts display styled like a model kit sheet: fun, visual, and effective.

Bespoke Mounting – Custom supports for hard-to-display items, finished for a “show-ready” look.

Storytelling Techniques – Using cutaways, halves, and unusual formats to make technical stories memorable.

Mixed Media Builds – Combining real parts, 3D prints, and models for the perfect balance of realism and practicality.
